Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer in Cardiff to take technical ownership of diverse projects and lead a small structural team. You will coordinate designs, liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and oversee delivery from concept to construction.

The role offers hybrid working with a Cardiff base, full-time hours, and clear progression towards Director-level responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Chartered status with IStructE/ICE advantageous; strong candidates considered without.
• Experience leading Structural Engineering projects from design through construction.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, design principles and UK standards.
• Able to supervise and guide other engineers on technical delivery.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of a varied portfolio of Structural Engineering projects.
• Lead the structural design and delivery of larger, more complex schemes.
• Coordinate designs with Architects, Civil Engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Attend design team meetings and provide technical guidance throughout delivery.
• Undertake site inspections and surveys as required.
• Support temporary works design and steelwork connection design.
