Position: Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Lichfield

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be involved in diverse projects, collaborating closely with clients and colleagues. This role offers a competitive salary, career advancement, and the chance to work on projects from conception to completion.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from conception to completion

  • Produce calculations for structural materials (steel, concrete, masonry, timber)

  • Prepare drawings using AutoCAD

  • Conduct site visits and attend meetings

  • Select appropriate construction materials

  • Provide technical advice to clients and colleagues

  • Liaise with relevant professionals as part of the design team

  • Monitor and inspect work undertaken by contractors

  • Prepare condition reports of existing structures

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

  • Minimum of ten years relevant work experience

  • MIStructE or MICE qualification, or working towards it

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (minimum of 5 years UK-based experience)

  • Experience with design software such as Tekla TEDDS, Tekla Building Designer, Fastrak Portal on UK projects

  • Experience in steelwork and reinforced concrete design

  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and deliver projects from start to completion
