Overview

We are seeking a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer with the ability to lead projects and manage a growing team. This is an opportunity to join a long-established, Yorkshire-based consultancy with over three decades of experience delivering Civil, Structural and Geo-Environmental Engineering solutions across the UK. Known for their collaborative culture and client-focused approach, the practice has built a reputation for elegant, efficient design that balances technical excellence with practical constructability.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for projects from concept through to completion, overseeing feasibility studies, detailed design, and delivery through all RIBA stages.
• Lead on a variety of schemes, from bespoke residential developments to larger commercial and multi-storey projects, ensuring high standards of technical quality and client satisfaction.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, helping to develop the next generation of talent within the team.
• Collaborate with clients and external stakeholders to inspire confidence and deliver successful projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (IStructE or ICE) with demonstrable experience in leading structural engineering projects.
• Strong technical and design expertise combined with proven leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, engage with clients, and influence project outcomes.
