Job summary

JPMorganChase in the United Kingdom (Scotland) is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III within Enterprise Observability Platforms. You will solve complex business problems with simple, scalable solutions, using code and cloud infrastructure to configure, monitor, and optimize applications and their platforms.

You will contribute to end-to-end operations, availability, and scalability, decompose problems, share knowledge, and help enforce SRE best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in SRE, DevOps, or application support roles with SLIs/SLOs and incident response.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, OpenTelemetry).
• Hands-on CI/CD with Jenkins, IaC with Terraform, Git, containerization with Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and automation of infrastructure and deployments.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
• Ability to break down issues, document solutions, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Guides and assists others in building designs and consensus.
• Designs deployment approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborates to design, develop, test, and implement availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Implements infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications.
• Resolves complex problems with stakeholders and team members.
• Understands SLI/SLOs and proactively resolves issues before customer impact.
• Supports adoption of SRE best practices within the team.
