Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to define the future of reliability across Infrastructure Platforms in the UK. You will drive resiliency, establish SLOs, and lead major incidents with deep domain expertise in cloud, observability, and AI-enabled workflows.

You will champion a strong reliability culture, collaborate with teams to reduce bottlenecks, and mentor peers while maintaining security and governance across large-scale production environments.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS in deploying, operating, and maintaining resilient workloads.
• Proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, and enterprise architecture.
• Fluency in Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET.
• Observability including monitoring, SLOs, and telemetry across large environments.
• CI/CD practices and tooling, container orchestration, and networking basics.
• Experience using AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows with strong validation.

Responsibilities

• Champion SRE culture and document knowledge for communities of practice.
• Improve reliability and stability using data-driven analytics and bottleneck resolution.
• Define service level indicators and partner on SLOs and error budgets.
• Design and implement observability and alerting frameworks with telemetry.
• Lead major incident response and diagnose issues to minimize business impact.
• Share deep technical expertise and guide peers across the team.
• Drive AI-assisted reliability workflows across the software lifecycle.
• Validate AI-assisted outputs and manage data sensitivity and guardrails.
