Job summary

J.P. Morgan within Infrastructure Platforms seeks a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to shape the future of reliability for large-scale applications. You will drive observability, incident response, and resiliency initiatives across teams to minimize downtime and maximize service levels.

You will mentor peers, design AI-assisted reliability workflows, and define SLOs, error budgets, and robust automation across the software lifecycle with cloud-first practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training in site reliability engineering concepts.
• Hands-on AWS deployment and operation in cloud environments.
• Fluency in Python, Java, or .NET.

Responsibilities

• Champion SRE culture and practices; document and share knowledge within the organization.
• Drive initiatives to improve reliability and stability using data-driven analytics; identify bottlenecks and reduce toil.
• Collaborate to define service level indicators and establish SLOs and error budgets with stakeholders.
• Design and implement observability frameworks, including monitoring and telemetry collection for proactive detection.
• Serve as primary incident contact; apply diagnostic skills to resolve issues quickly and minimize business impact.
• Share technical expertise and guide peers across the team to raise the bar on reliability.
