A healthcare provider in Maidstone is seeking a dietitian to join their team, focusing on nutritional care for ARFID patients. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, contributing to audits, and supporting junior staff. Applicants should demonstrate adaptability and collaborative skills, with experience in mental health being a plus. This full-time position offers opportunities for agile working and development within a supportive environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and specialised dietetic team within the All‑Age Eating Disorder Service and work collaboratively with a local general adolescent mental health unit. The role will predominantly focus on the delivery of nutritional care for both adult and child ARFID patients, but opportunities to learn and work across all diagnosable eating disorders will be encouraged.
Our team is committed to delivering the highest quality of care, enabling our service users to have autonomy and choice in their recovery. We achieve this through regular developmental opportunities, journal reviews and twice‑monthly CPD, delivered both by dietitians and the wider MDT.
While experience in mental health is advantageous, we also encourage applications from those with transferable skills. You should be adaptable, enjoy variety, and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively. This role also includes contributing to audits and research, developing innovative approaches to care, and supporting the recruitment, training and development of junior dietetic staff and students.
The role is full‑time, though part‑time hours will be considered.
Working with our colleagues, patients and carers we have co‑produced three new values that we aim to embed within our culture here at NELFT: We are kind. We are respectful. We work together with our communities. These three values help us to strive to provide the best care by the best people.
All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop‑in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. This post will be subject to a probationary period.
