Job summary

Bauer Media is establishing a new in-house software engineering hub in Manchester. As Senior Software Engineer you will lead hands-on development, mentor engineers, and help shape the squad's technical direction to deliver secure, scalable systems for Bauer Media's audio platform.

You will work in a hybrid setup with frequent collaboration across disciplines, driving DevOps practices and high-quality delivery in a fast-paced, product-led environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering across frontend and backend.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features across the platform from design to deployment.
• Contribute to squad's technical direction and architecture.
• Mentor junior engineers and support growth.
• Lead in testing strategies and security daily.
• Participate in incident management and on-call rotations.
