Job summary

Bauer Media Group in Manchester is building a new in‑house software engineering hub for Bauer Media Audio, delivering features across the audio platform. You will work with senior engineers to grow ownership and contribute to scalable solutions.

This permanent hybrid role focuses on Java Spring Boot, AWS, and a modern frontend stack (TypeScript/React), with Kubernetes/Kafka familiarity as a plus in a product‑led, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Solid engineering experience across frontend and backend with problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Java Spring Boot and AWS in a modern stack.
• Experience with TypeScript/React and cloud deployment patterns.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Kafka is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver features and services across the platform with increasing ownership.
• Collaborate in code reviews and architectural discussions with your squad.
• Champion quality, DevOps practices, CI/CD and security in daily development.
• Support the team and help with interviews and onboarding of new engineers.
