Job summary

Bauer Media Audio in Manchester is building a new in‑house software development hub. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will lead hands‑on development, mentor engineers, and champion secure, scalable systems across the platform.

You'll own critical features, collaborate with product and technology peers, drive CI/CD and observability, contribute to incident management, and help recruit and onboard new team members.

Qualifications

• Hands-on full-stack engineering experience across client and server tiers.
• Experience with modern toolchains and cloud native architectures.
• Mentoring and leading development teams or feature squads.
• Awareness of security best practices (OWASP) and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack services; own features as SME.
• Contribute to architectural components and prototypes; guide direction.
• Lead small feature squads; mentor juniors through code reviews.
• Collaborate with product/tech to align with customer needs and dependencies.
• Champion DevOps; improve CI/CD, automation, and observability.
• Lead testing strategies with QA and uphold security standards.
• Participate in in-hours/out-of-hours incident management rotas.
• Contribute to recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
