Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon are seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to provide specialist SLT support through the Experts at Hand service. The post involves leading caseloads for children and young people, supervising junior SLTs, and delivering training within early years and school settings.

The role is based in Barnstaple with potential for part-time applications above 18.75 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree.
• Full HCPC registration and RCST membership.
• Postgraduate courses in paediatric communication disorders.
• Experience managing complex caseloads autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with SLCN using evidence-based practice.
• Provide clinical support and supervision to less experienced SLTs.
• Co-ordinate clinic and day-to-day caseload management with the Clinical Team Manager.
• Participate in student placements and team audits.
• Promote service user participation and participate in audits/research as appropriate.
• Deliver training and model strategies within early years and school settings.
