Job summary

Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to deliver specialist SLT support within the Experts at Hand service from base in Barnstaple. The role involves managing caseloads, training, and delivering targeted interventions across early years, school, and post-16 settings.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, provide supervision, participate in audits and research, and contribute to service development in a supportive Devon-wide context.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
• Full Registration with Health Professions Council (HCPC).
• Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
• Membership of relevant Special Interest Groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with SLCN using evidence-based practice.
• Provide clinical support and supervision to less experienced SLTs.
• Coordinate clinic and day-to-day caseload management with the Clinical Team Manager.
• Participate in the provision of student placements.
• Coordinate team audit and monitor outcomes for interventions.
• Use strengths-based, evidence-based interventions and routine outcome measures.
• Promote participation of service users across the service.
• Participate in audits and clinical research as appropriate.
