Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is recruiting four 1.0 wte Speech and Language Therapists to provide specialist SLT support through advice, consultation, modelling of strategies, training, and targeted intervention within Experts at Hand services. Part-time applications above 18.75 hours per week are also welcome.

Base locations include Exeter and North or South Devon. The post-holder will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting children, young people and families, and will

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration and licence to practice.
• Experience with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
• Knowledge of a broad range of assessment tools and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Understanding of clinical governance, audit processes and safeguarding.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SLT support within community, school and other settings.
• Deliver training, modelling strategies, and targeted interventions as needed.
• Offer consultation and supervision to professionals and families.
• Support capacity-building for early years, schools and post-16 settings.
• Prepare concise reports and maintain accurate records of interventions.
