Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon is seeking an enthusiastic Part-time Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5) to join a supportive team in Honiton/Exeter. You will deliver a community SLT service to children and young people within clinic and education settings, providing assessment, intervention and parental guidance.

You will have regular supervision, opportunities for training and development, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team across Devon and Torbay.

Qualifications

Experience of working with children/young people with SLN needs in community/education settings.
Knowledge of assessment tools for paediatric SLT.
Ability to write reports reflecting specialist knowledge.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of children and young people in the Exeter area with developmental speech, language and communication disorders.
Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language and communication disorders.
Offer appropriate intervention and evaluate outcomes.
Advise parents, carers, early years and school staff on SLT needs of individual children.
Set up and monitor programmes to be carried out by other key workers.
Write reports reflecting specialist knowledge.
