Position Summary

To provide dedicated Health and Safety support to the Washington Plant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Health and Safety and Environmental Management systems to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standard including updating and implementing policies and procedures when required.
• Review and update the legal register as required.
• Manage the risk assessment process.
• Oversee first aid arrangements.
• Organise and deliver training.
• Update HSE Metrics.
• Write and issue reports as required.
• Write and issue Health and Safety briefings.
• Carry out regular safety audits and tours.
• Carry out Health and Safety and Environmental monitoring and assessments.
• Chair Health and Safety meetings and issue minutes.
• Coordinate accident and incident investigations including maintaining logs, statistics and ensuring actions are complete.
• Liaise with the HSE and other regulatory bodies as required.
• Develop and run Health and Safety initiatives.
• Manage PPE.
• Oversee Contractors procedures and permits to work.
• Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required.

What They’re Looking For

• Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma level.
• At least 5 years' experience of Health, Safety and Environmental practice in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience as an Internal Auditor.
• Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
• Must have practical auditing experience of ISO 45001 and ISO14001.
