Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is seeking a proactive Site Manager to oversee construction across developments in the UK. You will lead on-site teams, manage programmes, ensure NHBC and Building Regulations compliance, and deliver high-quality customer-focused homes on time and within budget.

We value strong leadership, safety discipline, and the ability to coordinate trades and suppliers to achieve efficient delivery across multiple sites in a hybrid working setup.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering on established build programmes.
• Proven ability to deliver weekly targets through proactive labour organisation.
• Excellent communicator and influencer to gain commitment and compliance.
• Strong leadership and decision-making to ensure on-site delivery to high quality.
• Proven knowledge of NHBC requirements and Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-site health and safety compliance to standards and regulations.
• Coordinate labour and resources to deliver the build programme on large developments.
• Manage material levels to meet programme while minimising stock.
• Ensure plots are built to NHBC Standards and range specifications.
• Attend plot inspections with Local Building Inspector or NHBC; rectify defects quickly.
• Monitor and control production costs; approve payments to contractors.
