Barratt Developments plc is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead construction on our new homes across the South Midlands and surrounding sites. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will manage the build programme, supervise trades, and ensure health and safety, quality and customer care are delivered on time.

You will coordinate labour and materials, control costs, and drive inspections with NHBC.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering on a build programme.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Member of CIoB and/or NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management, or time-served tradesman.
• In-depth knowledge of construction, NHBC standards and Building Regulations.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage costs.

Responsabilités

• On-site management to deliver build programme, health and safety, quality and customer care.
• Coordinate labour and materials to meet programme and keep costs under control.
• Ensure plots built to NHBC standards and Building Regulations.
• Carry out quality control inspections and rectify defects.
• Monitor production costs and approve contractor payments.
• Lead plot inspections with NHBC or Local Building Inspector.
• Conduct toolbox talks and site briefings.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers and sales for smooth delivery.
• Work with Sales to ensure timely handover.
• Maintain high standards of site presentation.
• Assist with New Home Tours and address questions prior to completion.
• Support Contracts Manager in resourcing and directing the construction team.
• Set a positive example in health and safety, organisation and professionalism.
