Immunocore is seeking a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation to advance biopharmaceutical characterisation methods, including peptide mapping and mass spectrometry for recombinant proteins and antibodies. The role spans cross-functional collaboration, assay development, and contributing to stability and quality across ImmTAX programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and mass spectrometric characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Worked in a bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory environment.

Responsabilités

• Develop and support impurity characterisation and identification.
• Contribute to method development for ImmTAX and related products (LC-MS/MS, intact mass).
• Write study protocols and reports.
• Independently testing and leading lines of investigation; propose new experiments.
• Maintain laboratory records and provide guidance on equipment use.
