Immunocore, a pioneering biopharma company in Oxford, seeks a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation to advance peptide mapping, mass spectrometry and protein characterisation for biopharmaceutical products. You will collaborate across teams, develop assay workflows, and contribute to stability and comparability studies.

You will characterise recombinant proteins and antibodies, interpret data, and help author study reports.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in development of HPLC based peptide mapping methods and mass spectrometric characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Experience of glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Experienced in the characterisation of proteins expressed in both microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Worked in a bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory environment.
• Established as an expert amongst peers in electrophoretic, chromatographic, or mass spectrometry.

Aufgaben

• Characterise drug substance and product impurities using LC-MS/MS and related methods.
• Develop and validate peptide mapping and mass spectrometry workflows.
• Lead biochemical characterisation, stability testing and comparability studies of biologics.
• Contribute to study protocols, reports and data interpretation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor colleagues; share advances with the team.
• Support process development characterisation of intermediates and Biopharma products.
