Job summary

Cpl Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Scientist with PBPK and PBBM modelling expertise to support the development of innovative drug products across all development stages for a global pharmaceutical organisation.

You will apply mechanistic modelling and simulation to predict drug properties, formulation design, dissolution, physiology, and clinical variables on in vivo performance, and work with Biopharmaceutics, Formulation Development, Clinical Pharmacology, and PDM teams.

Qualifications

PhD or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacometrics, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Strong expertise in PBPK, PBBM, pharmacometrics, or mechanistic modelling.
Experience with Simcyp, GastroPlus, PK-Sim, or similar modelling platforms.
Strong understanding of oral absorption, dissolution, permeability, and pharmacokinetics.
Excellent communication skills and a track record of scientific contribution.

Responsibilities

Develop and apply PBPK/PBBM models to support drug development.
Support predictions of oral absorption, food effect, bioavailability, and virtual BE.
Calibrate models, run sensitivity analyses, and scenario testing for project decisions.
Collaborate with lab scientists to design studies for model development.
Communicate modelling results in reports, presentations, and regulatory documents.
Contribute to innovations in modelling, automation, and AI/ML-enabled predictive approaches.
