Job summary

SRG is seeking a Senior Scientist with expertise in PBPK/PBBM to develop and optimise drug products across development stages. You will apply mechanistic modelling to understand how drug properties, formulations, and physiology affect in vivo performance and patient outcomes.

You will collaborate with biopharmaceutics, formulation development, clinical pharmacology and PK/PD teams to support model-informed drug development and regulatory decisions.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in a relevant scientific discipline with PBPK/PBBM focus.
• Proven expertise in PBPK, PBBM, pharmacometrics or mechanistic modelling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and apply PBPK/PBBM models using Simcyp, GastroPlus or PK-Sim.
• Support prediction of oral absorption, food effect, bioavailability and dissolution parameters.
• Perform model calibration, sensitivity analyses, scenario testing, and uncertainty assessments.
• Collaborate with lab scientists to design and interpret in vitro studies for model development.
• Support development of dissolution methods and in vitro–in vivo links where appropriate.
• Communicate modelling outcomes through reports, team presentations, regulatory documents, and publications.
• Pioneer innovations in modelling methods, automation, and data-driven tools including AI/ML.
