Job summary

Immunocore is seeking a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation to advance protein and biologics characterisation using LC-MS/MS and peptide mapping. You will lead extensive testing of biomolecules expressed in microbial and mammalian systems and contribute to method development for the company’s biopharmaceutical products.

The role requires strong expertise in MS, HPLC mapping and glycosylation analysis, with a proven track record in a bench biopharma laboratory.

Qualifications

Essential: Experience in development of HPLC based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins/antibodies.
Essential: Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins/antibodies.
Essential: Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
Essential: Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
Essential: Understanding of expected post-translational modifications.

Responsibilities

Develop HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation for biologics.
Characterise protein biomolecules in microbial and mammalian systems.
Lead testing programs and contribute to protocol and report writing.
Present findings to internal teams and partners.
Maintain laboratory records and ensure EHS compliance.
