Job summary

Senior Scientist I - Characterisation at Immunocore is responsible for developing and applying peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass analyses to characterise biopharmaceutical products. You will lead HPLC-based methods and MS-based characterisation for proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems, including glycosylation analysis.

You will contribute to protocol development and reporting, present findings to teams and partners, and mentor colleagues while upholding EHS and quality

Qualifications

• Essential: HPLC-based peptide mapping methods development and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Essential: Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Expertise in proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply LC-MS/MS peptide mapping and intact mass analyses.
• Characterise proteins via electrophoretic, chromatographic and MS techniques.
• Maintain laboratory records and ensure compliant documentation.
• Contribute to study protocols and technical reports.
• Mentor colleagues and share new analytical approaches.
• Present findings to internal teams and external partners.
