Job summary

Vitae Financial Recruitment Limited is helping an international client in Hertfordshire hire a Senior Associate to join the Sales Order Management team. The role acts as the bridge between contracts and finance, turning client agreements into accurate sales orders, invoicing and revenue milestones.

You will oversee contracts through to invoicing, mentor Associates, and lead process improvements as workloads grow, with a hybrid work pattern (3 days in the office, 2 from home) and a salary of

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in sales order management or a similar role.
• Experience reading contracts and extracting key details to set up sales orders.
• Experience entering contracts or sales orders into an ERP system (training provided).
• Exposure to invoicing and revenue tracking within contracts.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to challenge errors constructively.
• Confident, assertive manner with ability to lead conversations across departments.
• Strong Excel and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing contracts, quotations, work orders and purchase orders for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
• Turning contracts into sales orders in the ERP system and setting up invoicing and revenue milestone profiles.
• Following contract deliverables through from set‑up to completion and releasing revenue milestones on time.
• Querying and resolving contract issues with Business Development, Operations and other stakeholders.
• Collaborating with Finance to ensure monthly revenue is recorded accurately and supporting budgeting/forecasting.
• Building and maintaining Excel tracking tools for long-term contracts.
• Giving guidance and on-the-job training to Associates and reviewing their work quality.
• Identifying ways to improve processes as contract volume grows.
