Job summary

Arden Resourcing Limited is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join the Oxfordshire engineering team. You will design and implement software for autonomous robotic platforms, covering navigation, perception, and control, and work with hardware, electronics and mechanical engineers to deliver robust real-world solutions.

We expect 5+ years in robotics software, strong C++ and Python, ROS/ROS2, and experience with Gazebo or NVIDIA Isaac Sim.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial experience in robotics software engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
Strong programming ability in C++ and/or Python for complex robotics applications.
Experience with robotics algorithms including perception, SLAM, autonomous navigation, motion planning or control.
Familiarity with ROS or ROS2 in robotic software environments.
Knowledge of real-time software and robotics simulation tools such as Gazebo or NVIDIA Isaac Sim.

Responsibilities

Designing and building sophisticated robotics software for autonomous platforms.
Taking projects from concept through testing and deployment in real environments.
Developing efficient, maintainable software for complex robotics applications.
Collaborating with hardware, electronics and mechanical teams for seamless integration.
Improving software reliability, performance and maintainability through testing and reviews.
Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and shaping technical direction.
