Arden Resourcing Limited is partnering with a technology-focused UK employer to recruit a Senior Robotics Software Engineer for Oxfordshire. The role centers on developing software for autonomous robotic platforms, integrating with hardware teams, and guiding critical projects from concept to deployment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in robotics software, strong C++/Python skills, ROS/ROS2, and experience with Gazebo or Isaac Sim for real-time robotics simulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience in robotics software engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
• Strong programming ability in C++ and/or Python, with experience in complex engineering apps.
• Practical knowledge of robotics algorithms in perception, SLAM, navigation, planning or control.
• Experience with ROS or ROS2 in robotic software development environments.
• Familiarity with real-time software and robotics simulation tools such as Gazebo or Isaac Sim.

Responsabilités

• Design and build sophisticated robotics software for autonomous navigation and control.
• Move projects from concepts to simulation, testing and deployment.
• Develop efficient, maintainable software for complex robotic applications.
• Work with hardware, electronics and mechanical teams to integrate systems.
• Improve software reliability and performance via testing and peer reviews.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and mentor others.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions and future tech strategy.
