Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to design, develop and deploy robotics and perception solutions for real-world environments. You will work across mobile robotics, ROS2, autonomous navigation, computer vision, sensor integration and edge deployment.

As a senior member, you will lead testing, field deployments and knowledge sharing, while contributing to CI/CD and maintainable engineering practices within a collaborative DP&T team.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in robotics and autonomous systems.
• Hands-on experience with ROS2 and Linux environments.
• Experience in Python and/or C++.
• Familiarity with PyTorch, OpenCV, Open3D and 3D perception concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate mobile robotic systems with ROS2-based software on Linux.
• Shape autonomous navigation across localisation, mapping, path planning and mission execution.
• Support safe robotic operation with obstacle detection and collision avoidance.
• Develop perception pipelines spanning image processing, 3D perception and spatial reasoning.
• Integrate multimodal data for navigation, inspection and mapping.
• Lead testing, CI/CD and robust engineering practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to client deployments.
