Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker for a children's home near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire. You will support up to four young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.

The role requires a Level 3 in Health and Social Care, a UK driving licence, an Enhanced DBS check, and registration with Social Care Wales. You will lead shifts, maintain records, and promote well‑being through therapeutic interactions.

Qualifications

• QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Minimum of 1 year working in a care setting, preferably with children or young people.
• Full UK manual driving licence, Enhanced DBS check, and registration with Social Care Wales (or willingness to register within 6 months).
• Strong communication, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and sleep‑in duties.
• Basic IT skills and understanding of health, safety, and risk assessments.

We are seeking dedicated Senior Residential Support Workers to join our children’s home near Abergavenny. This role involves supporting up to four young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties within a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment. Our home offers a homely setting with extensive grounds, comfortable bedrooms, and communal spaces designed to promote well‑being and development.
