CS UK Recruitment Ltd is assisting a residential children’s care home in Malvern, Worcestershire, to recruit a Senior Support Worker. The role involves leading the on‑duty team, implementing care plans, and supporting young people with complex needs on a permanent, full‑time basis.

You will hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care and have prior experience in similar settings. Salary ranges from £28,080 to £37,440 per annum, with monthly pay and a benefits package.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Patient, compassionate and able to build trusting relationships with young people and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead the small team on duty and manage the daily routine to ensure smooth, safe operation of the home.
• Use positive support and de‑escalation techniques to handle challenging behaviours.
• Put care plans into action and accurately document daily logs and incident reports.
• Safely manage and administer medications and coordinate with social workers, therapists, and families.
• Plan engaging activities that promote learning, independence and growth for the young person.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Support Worker to a residential children’s care home in the Malvern, Worcestershire area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading children’s healthcare providers

We are looking for people who genuinely want to make a positive difference to the life of the individual they support. The right person will be patient, understanding and willing to build a trusting relationship, while being there for the individual through both their good and more challenging days

As a Senior Support Worker your key duties include:

• Lead the small team on duty, organize the daily routine, and make sure the home runs smoothly and safely
• Use positive support and calm de-escalation techniques to safely handle difficult situations and intense behaviours
• Put the young person's daily care and support plans into action, focusing on their specific complex needs
• Write accurate daily logs, fill out incident reports, and safely manage and administer medication
• Speak and coordinate regularly with social workers, therapists, and the young person's family
• Plan fun, everyday activities that help the young person learn new skills, gain independence, and thrive

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Previous experience in complex care, homecare, supported living, residential care, nursing care or a similar environment is desirable
• Experience supporting individuals with complex care or support needs
• A caring, compassionate and patient approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build professional and trusting relationships with individuals and their families

To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care + experience working in a similar role and setting

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £28,080 - £37,440 per annum - Pay frequency is monthly.
