Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a major project in Oxford, delivering state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities. You will bring significant experience from large-scale projects and a track record with Tier 1 contractors, contributing to commercial strategy and value delivery.

The role focuses on procurement, tendering, contract administration, and managing subcontract packages through to final account, ensuring risk is minimised and budgets are optimised.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor on large-scale projects.
• Experience with procurement, tendering, contract administration and variations.
• Ability to minimise risk, cost and maximise value through cost checking.

Responsibilities

• Input into Work Scope Documents / Procurement of Enabling Work Packages with the Client Procurement Team.
• Manage a range of commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations and management of subcontract works packages through to final account.
• Minimise risk and cost, maximise value by analysing labour, plant and materials.
