Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd. in Oxford is seeking an experienced Package Engineer to coordinate and manage designated work packages on a major laboratories and research facilities project.

You will work closely with the project team, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure work is delivered safely, to the required quality standards and on programme. The role requires interfacing with Architects, Engineers and site staff, organizing progress meetings, and ensuring SRM

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Experience with piling, structures, demolition and data capture.
• Ability to prepare a 3-week look-ahead programme with project planner assistance.
• Proven experience in package management.
• Experience as Temporary Works Coordinator would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of building products, construction details and applicable standards.
• Membership of relevant professional body preferred (e.g. ICE, CIOB, RICS, IStructE).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage designated work packages.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, to required quality standards, and on programme.
• Interfacing with internal departments and external agencies (Architects, Engineers, Sub-contractors, Client agents).
• Organise and conduct regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors.
