Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in the West Midlands is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Cost Management team. You will deliver pre and post-contract QS services on a range of challenging projects, from feasibility through final accounts, and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience delivering pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services.
• Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
• Good understanding of NRM and construction cost management.
• Experience on building projects across sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness and communication skills.
• MRICS qualification or active towards chartership (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services.
• Manage feasibility, cost planning, budgets and final accounts.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and financial reports.
• Oversee procurement, tender evaluations and contractor appointments.
• Administer JCT/NEC contracts and handle variations, valuations and payments.
• Identify commercial risks and provide value engineering guidance.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors and teams.
• Mentor junior team members and support team development.
• Contribute to ongoing growth of the Cost Management group.
