Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power Transmission & Distribution in Motherwell seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on SPEN framework projects across Central Scotland. You will manage costs, contract compliance, and commercial governance while mentoring junior staff.

Based from the Motherwell office, you will oversee multiple projects, support procurement, and drive value through robust commercial practices within a supportive framework that emphasises career development and flexibility.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or closely related field.
• Chartered status or working towards MRICS/MCIOB.
• Proven experience in infrastructure, utilities or major projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage all costs and income within your area of responsibility.
• Prepare, review and negotiate subcontract agreements and terms.
• Produce cost forecasts, CVRs and financial reports.
• Mentor Assistant and Quantity Surveyors in the team.
• Support risks, opportunities and commercial processes.
