Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power Transmission & Distribution is expanding its Commercial team in Scotland and seeks multiple Quantity Surveyors for the Beauly, Blackhillock, New Deer and Peterhead 400kV Overhead Line Project. Roles welcome different levels of experience and offer hybrid working with base options in Glasgow, Inverness, or Elgin.

You will manage costs, procurement and reporting, supporting a Senior Quantity Surveyor while developing your commercial expertise across diverse sectors including

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional experience.
• CSCS Academically/Professionally Qualified Person Card.
• MRICS, MCIOB, MCInstCES, or working towards professional membership.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs and commercial activities across projects in your area.
• Produce cost reconciliations and commercial reports.
• Measure, record and value work in line with company procedures.
• Build estimates from first principles.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and works information.
• Support customer and stakeholder management and overall programme monitoring.

Education

Quantity Surveying degree

MRICS/MCIOB/MCInstCES membership (or in progress)
