Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, invites a seasoned Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery across multiple projects in civil engineering, driving value and risk management.

You will report to the Commercial Manager, oversee the commercial team, manage contracts and subcontracts, and work towards progression to Commercial Manager. This role requires strong NEC contract knowledge and effective leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor is essential.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in NEC contracts and commercial practices.
• Relevant degree and professional accreditation.
• Experience in civil engineering contracting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for multiple projects and ensure commercial objectives are met.
• Lead the commercial team and provide direction to maintain project gains.
• Review contracts, subcontracts, and tender documentation for risk and value.
• Maintain client relationships and provide commercial input throughout lifecycle.
• Ensure alignment with company commercial policy and governance.
