Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial and contractual aspects on a project based in Glasgow, with occasional travel to Helensburgh for site visits. The role includes leading surveyors, overseeing valuations, and supporting tender activities from a commercial perspective.

You will be responsible for maintaining commercial policies, preparing reports, and ensuring timely subcontract payments while maximising revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• Adequate experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying and relevant experience obtained.
• An accredited course by the RICS, CIOB or ICES.
• British National security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Review main contract conditions for risk and scope.
• Assess sub-contract packages for incorporation into tender.
• Review tender information for value engineering opportunities.
• Ensure accurate site records and timely monthly valuations and reports.
• Manage subcontract payments and ensure proper valuation and on-time payments.
• Identify and manage scope and risks on an ongoing basis.
