Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of the VolkerWessels UK group, is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial team on projects around Warrington/Macclesfield. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will oversee tendering, procurement, subcontract management, and dispute mitigation to maximise project value.

The role requires a senior QS with RICS/CIOB/ICES accreditation or equivalent, proven leadership, and a track record of delivering contracts on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Accredited by RICS/CIOB/ICES or equivalent.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline; HND accepted with experience.
• Senior QS experience with strong commercial and contractual knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commercial team across projects to ensure delivery.
• Oversee tender preparation, contract review, risk assessment and value engineering.
• Manage subcontract packages and procurement in line with company policy and budget.
• Provide client liaison and maintain professional relationships throughout projects.
• Drive post-construction activities including final accounts and dispute mitigation.
