Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd in the Highlands region seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial administration for major civils works. You will manage contracts, costs, and payments, coordinating with client and subcontractor teams to ensure commercial control and successful project delivery.

The role requires NEC3 experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to travel with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or related commercial discipline.
• Experience in Quantity Surveying or commercial role.
• Experience with NEC3 contracts.
• Civils/construction experience desirable.
• Strong contract management and subcontractor skills.
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day commercial administration of civils work on a major project.
• Co-locate with client and subcontractor teams to manage contracts, costs and payments.
• Prepare applications for payment for clients and subcontractors.
• Forecasting and performance reporting across client and subcontractor accounts.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
• Undertake site visits to assess subcontractor performance and progress.
• Manage compensation events and variations per contract requirements.
• Produce accurate Cost to Complete forecasts and CVR reporting.
• Support the Commercial Manager with visibility of project commercial position.
• Ensure robust records and project documentation are maintained.
• Lead Earned Value Analysis reporting.
