Job summary

United Infrastructure seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial professional to lead commercial delivery on a major UK civil engineering EPC project. You will be independent, proactive, and skilled in negotiation, driving revenue, entitlement, and procurement while managing subcontractor performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Studies, or related experience.
• Experience in a similar role with commercial experience in construction/civils.
• Contract administration including change management.
• Awareness of corporate and project procedures.
• Full driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation.
• Ability to communicate complex principles at all levels within the organization.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork, integrity, innovation, and a client-driven approach.
• Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplines with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Champion for change, willing to innovate and challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Provide the Project Manager and delivery teams with proactive commercial support and lead delivery of commercial strategies.
• Ensure post contract commercial management of the contract or project in accordance with UI’s commercial policies and procedures.
• Regular reporting and analysis on project performance.
• Develop relationships with key client and supplier personnel and lead UI’s commercial interaction for the project.
• Highlight execution risks and ensure robust mitigation plans are developed and implemented.
• Ensure commercial entitlement is pursued and obtained in accordance with contract terms.
• Ensure that any necessary contractual notices are served in accordance with contract terms.
• Develop and implement effective negotiating strategies for contractual matters and issues.
