A leading staffing agency is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Ruislip, UK. The role involves financial management of complex developments, including site budgets and cost control from start to finish. Successful candidates will have a strong background in residential house building and expertise in cost control systems. Ideal candidates must hold an HND/HNC and have strong negotiation skills. Senior Quantity Surveyor
Reporting to: Commercial Manager
Sector: Residential House Building
We are looking for a commercially focused Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead our most complex developments, including multi-phase and consortium sites. You will be the financial lead, ensuring budgets are managed, targets are met, and costs are controlled from site start to final accounts.
Financial Management: Produce site budgets, quarterly valuations, and material "cost to complete" exercises.
Contract Administration: Issue sub-contract orders, process on-site payments, and settle final accounts.
Commercial Support: Assist with land appraisal take-offs, manage professional fee budgets, and price customer extras.
Collaboration: Attend pre-order and project review meetings with senior management and site teams.
Experience: Proven background with a residential house builder.
Technical: Expertise in cost control systems, valuation reporting, and on-site measurement.
Education: HND/HNC in Building Studies (BSc and RICS preferred).
Skills: Strong negotiator, detail-oriented, and IT literate.
Compliance: Valid CSCS card and subject to DBS/financial checks.
