Job summary

McCarthy Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major energy infrastructure project in Essex. You will manage commercial controls and provide robust guidance across the project lifecycle.

Role involves valuations, cost reporting, subcontractor accounts, procurement, NEC administration, and change management. A strong NEC background and exposure to infrastructure or energy projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or ready to step up.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge.
• Infrastructure, utilities, energy, or major construction experience.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of valuations and applications for payment.
• Cost reporting and commercial forecasting.
• Management of subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Procurement and commercial administration.
• NEC contract administration and change management.
• Compensation Events and commercial risk management.
• Agreement of final accounts.
• Supporting project teams with commercial advice and guidance.
• Identifying opportunities for value engineering and cost optimisation.
