The Opportunity

The consultancy is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its established and growing team in Exeter. Key Attributes & Experience

The successful candidate will bring strong technical, commercial, and interpersonal capability. Requirements include:

  • Minimum 2 years’ PQS experience within a construction consultancy environment.
  • MRICS or equivalent professional qualification (or clear commitment to achieving it).
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, procurement routes, design coordination, and contract administration.
  • Demonstrable experience in budgeting, cost control, value engineering, and driving project profitability without compromising quality.
  • Confident managing NEC, JCT, and other contract forms.
  • Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project and commercial risks.
  • Excellent relationship-building and client engagement skills.
  • Strong project management capability—able to deliver against key milestones and manage complex timelines.
  • Clear communication skills, able to update clients and senior stakeholders concisely and confidently.
