Location : Eastleigh, with hybrid working
Salary : PO2 - £42,897- £46,503
Hours : 37.00 hours per week - (part-time and flexible working considered)
Contract : Permanent

As a Senior Procurement Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Procurement team across Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary (HIOWC) and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC).
You’ll lead and deliver activities across the full procurement lifecycle - driving projects of varying complexity and engaging confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including our national partners. Your focus will be on achieving measurable savings and benefits through productivity, efficiency, best value, and exceptional internal customer service.
From strategic sourcing to demand management, you’ll ensure every decision strengthens operational resilience and delivers real value for policing and the communities we serve.
Please note that you will subject to our vetting check and the start date will likely be towards the first part of 2026.
We are looking for candidates who are qualified to QCF Level 6 or who have work experience which is deemed to be at a comparable level.
You’ll bring strong commercial acumen, solid procurement knowledge, and a sound understanding of UK procurement legislation and the wider public sector procurement landscape. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems is essential, along with experience in:
Travel to sites across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight may be required so we require candidates to hold a full UK driver’s licence.
