Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the process design of a programme of water industry projects through outline and detailed design stages, and provide construction/commissioning support. You will develop technical solutions, review design deliverables and mentor junior engineers to grow their skill set.

Candidates should hold a Chemical Engineering or related degree (chartered preferred) with experience in water and wastewater processes, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering process design for water and wastewater projects.
• HAZOP studies experience advantageous.
• Chartered status preferred when possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of process design deliverables (process models, mass balances, control philosophies).
• Provide technical assurance of designs and ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify opportunities for innovation to meet cost and net-zero goals.
• Analyze site performance; identify risks and develop mitigations.
• Challenge process selection to ensure best value for clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and allocate resources for projects.
• Challenge client specifications and defend complex solutions.
• Seek inputs from engineers, specialists, and project team to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
