Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to water and wastewater projects across the UK. You will guide mechanical design from concept to commissioning, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency.

You will mentor engineers, support resource planning and travel to sites within the operational region, helping deliver robust, economical solutions that meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Methodical approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater infrastructure through outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Geotech and Process designers to meet programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop safe, practical solutions across design and construction.
