Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process design for water sector projects across the DCC region. You will contribute to outline and detailed design stages and support commissioning, with opportunities to grow technically and managerially.

The role offers long-term career potential within a joint venture combining Mott MacDonald’s design capability with JN Bentley’s construction expertise, and emphasizes professional development and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemical engineering or process engineering related field, ideally chartered.
• Experience with water and/or wastewater unit processes and treatment plants, delivering process design.
• HAZOP experience as chair or team member is advantageous.
• Strong clean water non-infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of process design deliverables (process models, mass balances, control philosophies).
• Provide technical assurance that designs meet client standards and best practices.
• Identify innovation opportunities to meet whole-life cost and net-zero goals.
• Analyse site performance and identify risks affecting delivery; develop mitigations.
