Working alongside specialists from across the business, you will lead the delivery of high-quality solutions for infrastructure, highways, flood risk and drainage, whilst also mentoring junior engineers and helping to strengthen client relationships. In addition, there will be opportunities to contribute to the development of industry standards and emerging guidance by collaborating with organisations such as CIRIA.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from feasibility through to construction.
  • Produce project management plans, appointment documentation, scopes of work, and assist with fee proposals.
  • Prepare technical reports, drainage strategies, calculations, drawings and Civils 3D models.
  • Deliver designs for earthworks, site roads, pavement and drainage (including SuDS).
  • Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections, producing subsequent reports and assessments.
  • Liaise with local highway authorities, regulators and other external stakeholders to obtain approvals and agreements.
  • Attend and represent the business at project and design meetings.
  • Delegate workload, supervise junior team members and support their development.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to required quality, commercial and health and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Accredited degree in Civil Engineering (BEng, BSc or MEng) or equivalent.
  • Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with ICE or equivalent. Recently Chartered Engineers (CEng) looking for their next step are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience gained in an engineering consultancy environment, with demonstrable project and people management responsibilities.
  • Broad experience in infrastructure design including flood risk, drainage and highways.
  • Solid understanding of relevant regulations and design guidance, such as Manual for Streets, DMRB, and Design and Construction Guidance (DCG).
  • Experience working directly with local highway authorities and statutory bodies.
  • Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D and InfoDrainage (or equivalent platforms).
Benefits
  • Group Life Insurance & Income Protection
  • Enhanced Maternity Pay
