Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking a Senior Power System Studies Engineer to perform offshore wind power studies, grid code compliance, and dynamic analysis. You will develop models, prepare reports, and support proposals for clients across national projects.

The role requires 4+ years in offshore wind studies, experience with PSCAD/PowerFactory, and Chartered Engineer status or eligibility, with hybrid/remote flexibility within the UK.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors in electrical engineering with relevant industry experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or eligible (IET member).
• 4+ years offshore wind studies in PRE-FEED/FEED and Detailed Design.
• Expertise with PSCAD and DIgSILENT PowerFactory.

Responsibilities

• Perform grid code compliance, load flow, and short circuit studies.
• Develop study models and reports; respond to RFPs with man-hour estimates.
• Mentor junior staff and deliver training on power system studies.
• Lead consulting, R&D study projects and client discussions.
• Explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams.
