Job summary
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Power System Studies Engineer to perform advanced grid studies for offshore wind and renewable integration across UK sites including Epsom and other UK locations. You will conduct steady-state and dynamic analyses, prepare reports, and interact with clients to explain complex technical issues.
The role requires a Chartered Engineer level of expertise, experience with PSCAD/DIgSILENT, and strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with relevant industrial experience.
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent accreditation preferred.
- Comprehensive experience in studies for Offshore Wind projects at Pre-FEED/FEED and Detailed Design stages.
- Expertise in system study software such as PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, including scripting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct grid interconnection studies and load flow analyses for Offshore Wind and hybrid projects.
- Prepare simulation study models and write technical reports for clients.
- Respond to proposals (RFPs) with man-hour estimates and deliver consulting studies.
- Mentor junior staff and deliver training on subject matter.
