Job summary

AECOM is seeking engineers to join the Energy team, focusing on grid connection services and power system analyses across the UK and Ireland. You will develop and deliver grid connection studies, perform detailed power system analyses, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in power system studies and grid connection projects.
• Familiarity with PS&E package steps and deliverables.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of electrical design through power system studies
• Undertake detailed power system/grid code compliance studies using tools such as PowerFactory, PSCAD and PSS/E
• Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
• Undertake grid connection due diligence including grid prospecting, connection optioneering, risk assessment and capacity/constraints assessment
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of the PS&E package
• Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects
• Perform or support on quality control reviews of design calculations or drawings
• Prepare technical specification sections
• Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements
• Liaise with OEMs and clients to drive the technical outcomes
• Support with bids/proposals
